Dear [Client name],

Please find attached a letter before action regarding unpaid invoice [Invoice number].

I have tried to resolve this informally since [Due date] without success. The letter sets out the amount owed and the deadline for payment. If the debt is not paid or resolved by that date, I intend to issue a claim in the County Court.

I would still much prefer to settle this without going to court. If you want to discuss payment, please reply to this email.
